St John Ambulance in England offer high quality, low price first aid training, especially as they have recently launched a new 'Community First Aid Suite' in some areas.

If you become a member of St John, ALL your training is provided FREE.

Why would you not want to take a first aid course? It's a most useful thing to know - not only for the workplace but also for the home and outside. You don't mess about with blood & guts if thet's what you're afraid of , it's textbook, CPR practise, theory and some bandaging practice. Some employers even pay a small annual extra amount to employees with a first aid qualification. Go for it, have fun. Chances are you'll never have to use the skills you learn, I used mine more when volunteering at rugby matches than I ever did at work.

Call your local hospital or police station (non-emergency number). They would at least be able to point you in the direction of certified first aid courses. Most communties offer these for free.

Suggest you contact St. Johns in England or St. Andrews in Scotland.

your local st johns or red cross is the best place to go and it's normally free, or you could ask your school/college
