If you make a digital image (say jpg) the size of a standard photograph you can print it anywhere (say wal-mart) for about .17 a print.
Do it youself get it laid out before teh baby and insert vital info and a picture after the baby is born. Getting the prints should only take an hour or so, so the announcement will be timely.
Oh yeah, you might want to preadress some envelopes if you are mailing them.
Also could print name, weight, and picture on mailing labels and attach to little candies or some such.

When our baby boy came along nine weeks ago we wanted something personal, but without having to write too much. We used MS Publisher to design a card and used photos from his first day as the cover and back picture. Inside we put the detail of the birth. If you want to use two languages, you can always use both "inside" pages.

Highly suggest a google search for FREE baby annoucments, but also there are places that offer baby annoucment web pages such as www.ladiesplace.net...these are inexpensive and can stay on the web, that saves on postage, just email the page to your family and friends, then if you want to print it out copy all of it and put it into a word file and then print it off. The internet is going to be your cheapest route with sharing.

I am not sure of any websites but often times the hospitals offer electronic announcements with the baby nursery websites, and that's free!
