when they need the girls they ll b really nice n sweet n always running around behind the gals...but once the work has been done and they have fulfilled their purpose they can b really very very rude....this does not apply to all guys although...no offense meant..

Aren't guys only mean to girls they like in 5th grade? If a guy is being mean to a girl to try to get her, I'd forget him and find a real man.

You know what? I've noticed that the popular jock-guys seem to be mean to all the popular girls, and the girls still want to be their friends. Like this one group of guys always pokes and teases these two girls, and they still are friends. I'm like WTF? He just insulted you, and you don't give a crap. What is up with that? EDIT
As to the guy above me, that is mostly true, except that picking on people is not "manliness" or "masculinity", teasing is not "attractive", and kindness is not "weakness".

Because, nice guys are basically considered spineless and women like spines.
That's the rough and edgy way to say it, but it really boils down to the fact that they want someone manly, masculine, and nice guys who joke around aren't really masculine if they can't hold their own.
Mean guys evoke more response, and you should realize, it's not exactly a serious meanness, it's more of a for show situation, kinda the equivalent to peacock plumage.

It's reverse psychology. Funny how guys work hey?
My fiance (when we were friends) would pick on me quite a lot.
He'd open the door for me, nice hey?...until he'd say 'Sh*t before shovel', he'd grab the strap at the back of my dress & undo it making my dress/top almost fall off laughing as I struggled to keep it up whilst throwing dirty words at him.
I learnt later on he did it to get my attention, sort of his way of flirting. Nice hey?
But we are engaged today & looking forward to buying our first house together this year & I wouldn't have things any other way.
In fact, I'm glad he did all those things to me otherwise I wouldn't have him.
All together now... awww! Hahaha!
