As long as the two of you care about each other, tahn that's all that matters. If you really like him and he really likes you, than you two should not be concerned with what other people think. If you are going to keep on thinking about what other people think when they look at you two, then it's not going to work out. All I got to say is follow your heart while also thinking about the advice given to you.

I never dated a white guy and i don't believe that people should date out of their race. I think that you should go with your heart and not listen to other people. See I have my own opinion about that topic but you don't have to agree. Sometimes you shouldn't ask people how they feel because they can make u feel bad.

Its just like any other relationship, its nobodies business but your own. Don't care what other people think. If you feel like it could benefit your inner self then go for it. People are going to have something to say all the time its how you respond is what matters.

What does it matter what people think? If he is a nice guy, date him you guys are friends first and thats what matters. Just think about if it doesn't work out will you still remain friends. People will always talk hunny, that's just life. Becareful and take it slow just as would any other relationship, just remember you were friends first.

Well if you are thinking about it, then dont do it.

If you like him and he likes you what difference does it matter if he is black and you are white? I'm black and date all different races, I dont care what ppls think or say because I date these ppls because we have something in common, I am attracted to them and because we made a good connection.

But since you ARE asking, it looks like you care too much about what ppl think to follow your own heart...

I think that until we all mix up nicely and a little more evenly, we will never stop hyphenating our American identities.
I think
Mixed is Beautiful.
Most people think you're white trash.
And they also think their Capital Foreigner- little american background is better than yours, too.
Oh,please.
But, is the guy more of a P Diddy or more of an LL?
An LL might just have some style and family values, you know?
And as long as you;re more Celine than Brittney, you're OK yourself.

Go for it. Seriously, its just skin color. what really matters is whats in their hearts! & if hes a great guy then it doesnt matter what he looks like on the outside. All my boyfriends except one have been of a different race!

I don't see any problem with it. As long as you're comfortable, and he's comfortable (clearly he is) then that's all that matters.

I've been out with quite a few Indian boys, liked some Asian guys as well...it doesn't bother me. Sometimes I think they treat you more special because you're different from who they usually date and they appreciate that. If he's you're best friend then he's sure to adore you.

years ago people would have looked down on you for dating someone outside of your race. now, it's a common occurrence. some people still think it's "funny" or give you dirty looks or something, but I would say most people don't think anything of it. Regardless, you shouldn't choose to date or not date someone because their race is different than yours and someone might think different of you. You should date someone because you are attracted to them and like them. Good luck :)

What matters is if you really like him or not and if he really likes you. If that's the case, go out with him. If it's not the case, or you are too worried about what other people think, I would advise against it. But there is really nothing wrong with it from my point of view.
