Most professionals don't like to cut the
hair of a child under the age of 4.....
It's hard for a young child to sit still.
A child's hair can be cut at any time.
Some kids I've seen need it badly.
People use to believe you shouldn't
cut a boy's hair before he was 2.
A girl's hair should not be cut before 16.
Some people believe that a girl's hair
should not ever be cut. I have pictures
of my grandmother's hair laying on the
ground. She didn't have it cut until she
was 65. She said she was never happier,
than the day it was gone for good.

I've always heard first haircut first birthday. So 1 year old. I actually cut my twins hair myself a few weeks shy of their 1st birthday. My friend has a baby boy, who had TONS of hair...this kid was born with hair....and it never stopped growing. She had to cut it at 5 months because it was in his eyes, so i guess it depends on the parent and the babies hair.

My youngest son I waited till he became 15 months old to get his first haircut. It became in basic terms about right down to his shoulders, and variety of wavy...yet each situations he were given in his carseat, the back may get all disheveled. the superb wager for kids and preschooler boys is a buzz decrease. My youngest hasn't ever had something yet a buzz decrease. It takes like 5 minutes and that's not uncomplicated to reduce to rubble. My mom gave me the conception of having someone do something like blow bubbles to distract the youngster in the course of the haircut.

My son is 13 months old and will be getting his first haircut this weekend. I am going to take him to a kiddie cutters place. They cut mainly children's hair so are used to squiggly little children, plus they have all kinds of activities to keep them busy. Most places even have a certificate that says first hair cut and tape a little piece of hair to it. There's only one first haircut so make the most of it.
