I recently transferred from an all guys private school to a coed public school. Over the past couple weeks alot of girls (more than guys) have struck up conversation with me asking me about myself and just been really friendly. Some have been more than friendly, and have been flirting alot and making unnessacary physical contact. I was led to believe that alot of these girls were intersested in me because of the way they acted. Now I am startingt to find out that most of these girls are taken. What do I do and why do I only have taken girls talking to me?

First of all, you're new, so you're a novelty to them. They may be grooming you for potential relationships with them, but odds are highly unlikely. You've been around guys a lot, and it's natural that you don't understand this fact: girls will flirt just for fun, it may be confusing but it's how they work usually. Sometimes flirting is serious, but mostly it's for fun in public places. If it's in private and only you and her can hear it, that's got good chances for a real relationship.

So to answer your first question now, don't do anything, it's not worth the risk of being ousted for attempting to steal someone's girl. Second answer, because they're just being friendly.
