There's a guy I know who I often flirt with. We're both very shy, but we still flirt and have a good time. I'm positive that he likes the attention and he at least likes me as a friend. How do I ask him if he really thinks I'm special or if I'm just another cute girl to him? I'm not sure how to word it so that I don't look desperate/clingy/etc. Is it ok to ask a guy to explain his feeings (or lack of)? Is there a way to do it without sounding like a typical annoying girl?

if he is honestly shy then his feelngs for you are probably sincere b/c shy ppl arent the type to just flirt with anybody...it hoestly has to be someone they hoestly care about

Maybe it's because of who I am and how comfortable I am with myself, but I would ask right out and to his face if he was interested in me. You could also just tell him straight out: " I really like you, and I'd like to know how you see me. Am I something special to you or just a cute girl?"
This way, you're not sounding like a typical girl. Most guys appreciate a straight-forward girl, one who is secure enough to just flat out ask or tell. And if he's really cool, he'll be honest with you and not be an *** about it. Good luck.
Oh, and this works, at least for me. That's how I ended up with my boyfriend, and I'm glad to say we're very much in love.

guys are not good at explaining anything...U dont even wanna ask him a question like that. The thing us women need to learn and understand is that actions speak so much louder than words and also patience is a virtue. Wait for him to show u how special u are, dont rush to move things along if he feels like u truly are special then he will show u just how much

oh girl you're in luck. If this guy is shy then tha also means he's got low self esteem!
Here's the firs thing you do take all the answers so far from every idoit here on yahoo answers and forgot about thier advice. They are retard. Me on the other hand I make plato and socartes looks like morons.
Now here's what you do since this guy is probably your average tool. Now you're going to have to learn to be more aggressive, start telling him what to do. First off test the waters, say I'm thirsty I left my drink over at xxxx could you get it for me. Then keep escalating ask him to rub your shoulders. Then tell him (don't ask) tell him "Guess what, you're taking me on a date this weekend, and NO F---ing question."
Just tool this kat trust me this guy you like is probably weak and you're have a new ball of yarn to play with.

Do something that will be special to both of you, like a picnic or something that will stand out as a great fun thing to do where you can both talk and emotionally connect.

Well don't ask him directly because then he'll know you're into him and he'll get cocky. Play games and always make sure that you're in control.
