If he wants to come to church he will. Just have a good time worshiping the Lord together.

I'm going to start off say I don't know much about the Lutheran Church but this seems very wrong! Especially coming from the PREACHER of the church. You absolutley have the right to be upset, even if your boyfriend was a Satanist the church should not have been so disrespectful and rude to him or you! If I were you, I'd find a new house of worship.

You know the most important thing is that you are both born again. If this relationship is in the Lord's will for you both, then the Lord will work all these things out for you. Just relax and enjoy taking him to your church.
One thing I will put right about tho, is that people don't fall down to let others know they're worshipping God. The reason why people fall down, is that God's power comes on them. Speaking in tongues is spoken about in Corinthians. This is scriptual.
It sounds to me that your boyfriend will enjoy the open worship at your church. It is good for us to experience other places of worship too at times. There often will come a freshness to our spirit. As long as God's Spirit is in a place, then that is what really matters.
God Bless You.

Having been members of both types of churches I can tell you that if he's used to Pentecostal, nothing will freak him out :-) I don't think he'll feel awkward as he'll be among people who believe the same as he does, Christians, the rest is just icing.

I'm an atheist who has gone to a Penecostal church with a friend of mine. They did none of the things you accuse them of doing. They lift their hands and sing just like you do. All their women have to wear skirts or dresses though. If you're really serious about him you might want to discuss that.

If things go well, you two will get married, have kids and take them to church - one or the other; kids get confused when they go to Dad's church on odd Sundays and Mom's on even Sundays. If he is comfortable in your church, fine. If you are comfortable in his, fine. If either of you thinks the other one is too far out in left field, then you might re-consider the relationship.

Tell you what, if your youth group can't accept your boyfriend for who he is, it's not worth going to. That's nice of him to go to your church, though, even though it may feel a little awkward. Have you done the same for him?

One seems just as strange to the other, if you're there for the same reason there shouldn't be any thing to worry about.
