Can I remove soffits attached to a radiant heated ceiling without disturbing the circuit for the heat system?

Question

I want to remodel a house with radiant ceiling heat. If I disturb any of the ceiling panels it may blow the whole heating system for the entire house. How can this be prevented?

hello i spent 47 years in the sheetrock business and its highly unlikely the radiant wiring would have been run under the soffit to make sure cut a hole in soffit large enough to see into it with small flashlight can be patched later
