You might try changing your shoes and taking better care of your feet. The right kind of running shoes are expensive, but trust me it is well worth it in the end if you don't have to go to physical therapy. I'd say massage the bottoms of your feet after a run to loosen it up. Also, talk to your coach about it hurting, it'll make all the difference in the world. physical therapy sucks, so take care of the problem before it gets worse.

Well, there were many times of those for me. But what you should do is massage them a lot until you don't feel the pain. The next day, they will hurt but you don't have to do it again. They will heal with time. If you want fast relief use warm water on your feet. But you should probably rest your legs more, that's big on running

Need to stretch and warm them up properly. to stiff of calves muscles can lead to problem with the Achilles tendon which can you put you out of the running for a while. also over training and increasing mileage to fast can do it.

You want to stterch, hydrate(water), and you might be flat footed, so place something in your shoes for walking and running just to put an arch.

Sorry about your maladies Carol. Have you talked to your coach or trainer??? You are simply suffering overuse injuries and probably need to REST your weary legs. Possibly you have some foot structure that may need orthotics to stabilize.

1. Stop using the stairs
2. Ice your arches
3. See a sports medicine specialist or podiatrist TODAY
