I am a born-again Christian and I'm totally in love with Jesus.
Now to answer your question: I believe technology is a good thing, but Satan often uses good things for evil. TV for example is a great idea (I mean come on! I had a better view of the SuperBowl than anyone who was actually there), but Satan perverts things and uses it for evil often times (just watch any late-night TV and you'll see what I mean).
As far as new technology innovated by Japan, I'm so jealous that we don't have all that over here! I would love to have all the neat gadgets they do. The thing is you have to be responsible. As the saying goes: with great power comes great responsibility.
With these new toys we have the power to do good or evil. We can check the stock market and check the sports teams, or we can surf over to gross websites that promote every kind of wicked perversion imaginable. It's up to us to decide, and there's no reason to bash technology or whatever.
So--I pray that people would choose the right, and use the gifts God gives us for good, and not for evil. That's the long and short of it.

Isaiah 32:7, Psalms 37:7, 140:8, Proverbs 12:2, 14:17. How about the devices used to kill over a million children a year in this country thru abortion.

With all things there is good and bad. To discount technology would be ridiculous but to say that it is all good is just as ridiculous. For example; pace makers are a great form of technology, but nuclear war heads aren't. A sonogram that shows the development of a child is great technology, but big brother technology isn't. I am a Christian and a devout follower of Jesus, and I do not disagree with technology.

At the time of the early church, the book (bible) was the latest technology to replace the scroll, it put a three hundred pages or ten scrolls into one easy to carry binding. It was an Indian idea taken on by the Coptic Church in 120 ad.
Christians fear what they cannot control. Technology equals free thought, and the exchange of ideas with folks who are not so narrow minded as they are..

Technology and indeed all knowledge comes from God. Bad uses for that technology come from Satan. Example, the Internet as a technology is good for learning, communication, and many other things. It is bad in terms of pornography and the illegal sharing of copyrighted materials.

This is bull hockey. People who believe technology is influenced by Satan are afraid of the unknown and advancement. Faiths, or lack of them, have nothing to do with it.

Christians are more than willing to accept and trust in technology when it suits their purposes. When it doesn't, its Satanic. The same thing as the rest of science.

i was actually just talking to a friend about this and we said that i dont think technology is bad neccessarily but people have a tendency to abuse everything for instance the internet it has everythin on it everything and that can be good but bad
bad would be porn- child pornography, phone sex music- all about sex and drugs and violence i mean when people abuse things everyone says its the devil it very well maybe but people are the abusers and everything bad people relate it to satan

Oh they're just being childish. They're like little kids. One (japan) has a lollypop, the other doesn't so he makes up a loads of insults and rumours to get back at them. Nothing more, nothing less.
