I recommend CHI or another brand called InfraShine, but as long as it has true ceramic plates (meaning not coated, as it can just come off over time), it should be a good one. I also think spending a lot of money on a good flat iron is better than buying 3 or 4 cheap ones.
Happy ironing! :o)

Try using one by Babyliss, they are still salon flat irons but not as expensive as the CHI brand, they start at under $100 for the small travel ones and go from there

$70-80
Use an ionic flat iron. It will not curl back easly.
Solia makes a Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Flat Iron.
According to the Solia flat iron website, "tourmaline,
a precious stone, is used to generate up to 6 times more
negative ions than traditional ceramic irons".

Sharper image has an amazing ceramic flat iron. It runs about $59.99. My hair is thick and wavy and it leaves it supple and stick straight. WALMART IS EVIL

What you need to make sure is that it is ceramic. The ceramic heats evenly so that it does not develop hot spots and burn your hair. I paid like $24 for mine at Target.
Good luck

I've heard good things about Babyliss and Remington, but I'm not sure how any of those cost, so I would look and see on http://www.amazon.com or something. Also, this may sound odd, but I thought Revlon worked pretty good on my hair.
