They are man made, indeed. But, they are regarded as symbols of certain higher objects. God acts through men and seldom interferes in our affairs, directly. When men are instruments of God, what is wrong in men regarding certain artifacts and scripts as representing the divine. There are different ways, men strive to realise God. All the paths will lead to the same fountainhead of divinity i.e. God. The doctrinaire approach has proved to be the undoing of mankind.

Self-defense is the demand of every human in the world. When you think that you don't have to depend upon the fellow beings then believe on the yourself .For that you need a back up to believe upon.
Take its positive aspects. These are not just the human written scripts .These are basically the experiences that they had and you didn't .Belief is the thing that they had and you didn't.Start "Believing" and then realize whether those idols can benefit you or not.Forget about the harm if you start believing in something good.Try it for once then see the wonders!!!!

Well, human belief has to be on human researched results. Any thing scripted by human beings are definitely well understood and time tested.
I don't believe that idols are meaningless. Probably one has to look little more than that. Why we, always, start looking negatively such as harm or so? Because we are clueless about our own religion. And that's the problem. If we can not believe something which so obvious and visible than how can be believe in something beyond that. It is necessary to understand this one has to a bit closer to his/ her own religion.

yes , human written scripts do not benefit or harm . they show some great heros such as rama , lakshmana, arjun ,karun etc. in hindu
in christian jesus christ .
in muslim mohammed
in jainism mahaveer
in buddhism buddha
they are great heros of their religion
every religion has history but exepct hinduism no phrase or sentence in history says the heros of hinduism but it just refers the places in these books .
as they have been written by human like valmiki etcccc
they have just written to guide the people not pass certain rules which are in bhagwath geetha .idols are man made ok it is real then why do lakhs of people go to tirupathi or dharmasthalato worshipthe idol
because they have a good hope that there is a mighty power it is god . then they get an question who is creature of the earth ,sun ,moon, etc why did he make man exist on earth .So they need a person who can do this so a mighty creature existed in ther minds and gave the shape to that creature through stone and belived that he is the might who provide us every thhing we need rain shelter etccccccccc
humans belive in scripts because they give good information to lfe no script tells any bad and will be a sort of thing that is belivable to man as it consists of great heros of their religion .
idols do no benefit or harm man they praise to the idol because it is not god it is a form of god .this point has deep rooted the minds of all people in the world .
this cannot be changed in their minds as the present generation teaches the next generation about god ethics beliefetcccccccc
most belive the scripts because the give ethics to human life .

Human written scripts which are deemed to have been written some thousands of year before are not of much value now as the moral ethics change then and there. Previously potter's son will be potter and like that as stated in "Manudharma". But now intelligence is awarded. Hence believe the written scripts only on its reasonableness.

The scripts that we believe were not written by normal humans. The revelations which were made by God Himself to those humans when they were revelling in a state of bliss are still available with us. There are two routes available in life. First walk the walked path which is guided by proper guides or find your own. First will surely be easier. In case of second there are chances of getting lost. The personal experiences were given script form by the God experienced humans. So we believe and will continue to.

Dear Tanveer,Your question should have been :Why don't humans believe in human written scripts?.This I believe would have answered your doubt.Since we humans have been gifted with the 5 sense's from which we see,we hear,we smell,we taste and we feel,I think the Intelligence that we gather is nothing but what interpretations we make depending upon what our 5 sense's provide us with. Our mind is like a Computer.Whatever you feed in is what you can take print out of.This feeding of the most important data about life has been the hardwork of sadhu's and sant's for millions of years.Hence the belief.Regarding Idol's,praying to idols was started by the sadhu's who in the process of attaining inner blissfulness or Moksha ,used to go in a remote area ,mostly jungles ,to avoid materialistic effect of those very 5 senses .And to focus their mind and sight used an Idol. Also Bells were used to give good sound to your ears.Flowers were used to give good smell .Good and sweet prasad's for tastes. So its all about inner peace of mind tanveer.

During 1800s, Anthropologists had a problem as to how
to classify human beings. One resercher proposed the
expression "intelligent animal". After advanced studies
on monkeys, it was dropped. Another reseacher proposed
"tool using animal". After observing some animals
making wooden tools and sharpening them with knife like
stones, it was dropped. Another researcher proposed
"weapon using animal". A decade ago, a rare film was
shot in African forests. One short monkey was hit very
badly by a big monkey. The short monkey prepared a
wooden knife using stones and hid it on the top of a
tree. After some days, when the big monkey came to
attack the short monkey, it ran up to the tree for the
weapon it has hid and killed the big monkey. The one
thing that the anthropologists found with any group of
human beings, even if they did not have contacts with
the out side world for thousands of years, is
spirituality with some form of religion. So, man is a
"spiritual animal" if you want to call him that way.
"Manush" (human) was so named because he has "Manas" a
mind higher than that of the animals which realises the
divinity in creation. It was present since the creation
of human beings. Persons with higher realisation write
their experiences in the form scripts. Others who still
believe in divinity but need some experiences of the
spiritually learned give respect to scripts.

Every one cannot understand the concept of GOD without an object like Idol or written script or guidelines.
Only step by step process can bring an unfolding of Devine knowledge.
Idols or objects of worship are just mere instruments to bring in a state of tranquillity or peace in mind. In a place of worship like temple, church or mosque, there is a positive vibration that moves around and the visitors to these places pick up some of these vibrations and feel elated.

Scripts are first formed, then combined and then presented. Believing in human formed, combined and presented scripts can confuse the human beings as 'a human being is always a human being' despite his depth of knowledge or power of knowledge. A human written spript will have all the finer and weaker points reflecting the God limited power of a person, it will have his living atmosphere reflected in it and his foresight of future will be limited to his human powers. So such faiths find discrepancies later on and people who call themselves preachers of such scripts will need to keep on correcting or adjusting such scripts as the generations passes.
