My Grandma on my Mom's side was an identical twin. Does anyone know my chances of having twins? My husband is adopted, so no info there.

My grandmother on my dad's side was an identical twin and my grandmother on my mom's side had twin sisters, and I was told that my chances are not better than anyone else. I was alright with this, because I can't imagine two at a time! Hah!

So I guess, save for fertility drugs, we've both got the same chances as everyone else.

Good luck, though! I hope you get your twinnies!

If you are talking about having identical twins, genetics don't play a big role and that and it is a pretty random event, but have as good a chance as anyone at having fraternal twins, especially if you are over the age of 30.

Identical twins do not run in families! Only fraternal twins are genetic. So..keep your fingers crossed. You odds are as good as anyones-completley sporadic!
