I was given a promise ring and me and the person is no longer seeing each other should I return the ring? He told me that if ever anything was to happen between us the ring would still be mine.
I am trying to do the right thing here, please give me some advice...

Thank You

I think you should give it back, even though he says you can keep it. It just seems the right thing to do--just like returning an engagement ring if the engagement gets called off. The purpose of the ring was the promise that you shared, and you no longer share that promise...

Okay first of all .... its a promise ring. I think that if was really worried about it he would ask for it back but if he hasn't done that then keep it. It was a gift to you and to tell you the truth I don't see the point or reason for a promise ring. If you serious about someone you should just get them the real thing and not waste your money on the promise ring. Keep the ring Honey! Its yours.

I think you should keep the ring you never know what is gonna happen in the future you might get back together....and it might hurt his feelings if you give it back. If he told you that he obviously wanted you to keep the ring so keep it.

I hate promise because they are useless, and its a material thing and furthermore is they ring worth anything and if it is then keep.

If he agreed for you to keep the ring, then keep it. My instinct is that you are trying to find an excuse to contact him. Best for you to move on.

If he said he would want you to keep it you should. Its something to remember good times by and to remember the fun you had.
