I would appreciate helpful advice from genuine people who care about cats...and no suggestions I bring them to shelters to be euthanised please.
I moved into a neighborhood with dozens of cats living on the streets...many had been born there, not one was desexed or chipped. I have now rescued, desexed, chipped, vaccinated, FIV & FELv tested over 20 of them & I'm trying to find loving homes for them. They are all now in foster care, and I am paying all their expenses. Surrendering them to a shelter or group is not an option. I set up a website designed to get them into homes a few months ago...at first it got lots of traffic, and I got lots of emails. Now it's quietened down & I'm not getting any more emails from potential adopters. I really want to get them into loving homes, and would appreciate advice re sprucing up the website to get better results, that is, to get these gorgeous kitties into loving homes. The site is

Thanks so much from the cats

Wow, you are an amazing person.

Try calling local radio stations and even tv stations, they may advertise your site/phone number for free as it is charity work.

Congrats, what you are doing is amazing. However, I have a slightly different suggestion. These cats, being feral, will for the most part have difficulties adjusting to home life. In addition, by taking your whole troupe out of the wild, you have created an empty niche that other feral cats will soon fill by expanding their territory. Then, you will just have a whole new group of healthy reproducing cats that you will have to start the whole process over. This will never stop, because your original troupe had it's own territory and stopped other troupes from coming into your neighborhood.

With the originals gone, nothing stops new ones from moving in. So I would suggest that you trap, neuter, and release (TNR) your kitties. You could set up a feeding and shelter program to provide them and keep them healthy and happy. In addition, you can gather a group of people willing to monitor the goup of feral and trap and provide the money for vet care if it is ever necessary. This way, the cats won't be thrown from foster home to foster home because they are ill-suited for house life, and can live their lives with plenty of room to run and being provided for and cared for at the same time.

Now don't get me wrong. I don't believe that all cats belong outside and that owning a house cat is in any way wrong. In fact, I do ascribe to the notion that domestic cats will live longer fuller safer and healthier lives in a house with proper vet care. That being said, feral cats are a 'horse of a different color', and require different attitudes. I am providing links that talk about the whole TNR notion and how it has been accomplished in other places.

Good Luck, and you are doing a great thing!

What about having an adoption drive at a local pet supply shop?? I live in Los Angeles, USA and they seem to have very good luck in finding good homes for the pets here. Failing that, why don't you take out an ad in the local paper? Many elderly who can give a pet a great home have no internet access and regularly read the paper. I wish I had the time and money to do what you are doing. Keep up the good work. We need more people like you.

I absolutely love what your doing and I give you "props". You are one awsome person! You have a huge heart!

I was looking at your web site and thought of something intersting. I was thinking you could create a myspace and find people in your area who might be interested.

One thing i would do is post more messages like this one and get a way for people to donate to your cause. There are a lot of animal lovers out there and I"m sure that there would be some people who would like to donate money to help your cause.
I think your site is very creative and intersting!

I would contact your local newspaper and explain your cause and see if they could help you out and do an article with your web site on it. It would allow local people to see your ad. The only problem is that people are not always cat "lovers".
Good luck!

The best thing to do is get them listed on sites like petfinder.com.
You are doing a great service for these cats. Kudos and keep up the good work.
I do TNR for my community as well. Feel free to check out my website and get some ideas from it.

Oh my gosh!! Having a bounty on them is undesirable!! the place I stay, in rural united states of america, we've lot's of barn cats and so do our pals. i attempt to maintain all my cats mounted so i've got not got an outstanding sort of kittens. I definitely have even rescued a pair from the pound. So...my advice is to sell to united states of america human beings, who survive a farm or ranch and choose lots of cats for killing mice. i like my cats and that i'm hoping you have solid success. :)

You can set yourself up as a recue on petfinder.com and have all the individual cats listed there. That site gets a lot of traffic. I am not sure if there is a fee or not.
