The ibuprofen is the most likely candidate it very commonly causes GIT upset.

Do you really mean you have taken 4 Co-codamol tabs twice a day? Max dose is 2 every 4-6 hours (8 in 24hrs).

Moderate dose of codeine (in both preps.) prob. causing some constipation also?

Additional information:

YES. 4 x Co-codamol tabs at once is too much. Co-codamol is a combination of paracetamol 500mg and codeine 8mg (in this case). 4x 500mg = 2g of paracetamol and is overdosing. Max dose is two tabs every 4-6 hours with a max of 8 daily.

Doubt this constitutes a damaging OD for an otherwise healthy adult liver. If in any doubt consult your GP. The Co-codamol should have dosage instructions on the pack.

It does sound like a kidney infection but i have 2important buts 4U.I am very surprised the dr has given u co-codamol it is an opiate based painkiller and these are v.strong and can cause nausea on their own and can be addictive, the other BUT is equally important, if your pain has moved from centre of your stomach to the side and is more intense or u r actually sick, then it could be apappendicitismind gone blank i usually good speller!:) p.s Good luck in your exam, my sons got one on monday nt sure if its maths or english gcse :)

That much for pain meds - consider something that might make it so you don't need them. First read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It deals with muscles, pain and referred pain.
Then decide if a massage therapist and possibly a chiropractor can help the cause go away.

The ibuprofen alone could be responsible; like aspirin, it can cause GI discomfort especially in sensitive persons.

Yep. Check in with your doctor to explain how you're feeling and see if you can get a med with less side effects.

Ibuprophen and Aspirin can both cause stomach ulcers.
