I like them. I even felt good when one of my answers got a lot of thumbs down. It made me feel like people actually took the time to read what I had written. Even if they did not agree.

I vote YES!! Many questions deserve a thumbs up and a lot of them deserve a big thumbs down. The way Yahoo has it now, we can't give any kind of rating to questions except to comment on them in our answers.

A is stupid even on answers. Reporting is stupid also but for yahoo to allow participants to police the system without any control is inconsolable a reported question or answer is automatically deleted. After so many the entire person is deleted. My avatar has been deleted I know not why. Every thing is a mess. My world is coming to an end the rapture has started.

Seeing the thumbsdown means someone might has reported your question and we could delete it on time. You are right :))
Losing 5 points is better than losing 15 in total
Some questions indeed deserve TWO BIG THUMBS....DOWN!!!

I much rather prefer the thumbs up and down for questions. The stars are pretty lame and useless as far as I'm concerned.

I do. The thumbs were better than this star thing. Why can't we point it out when a question is bogus, with out reporting, or dignifying a bogus question with a response.

Thumbs are fine I just wish more people understand that just not
being compatible with their beliefs is not grounds for thumbs down.

i have no problem with them.
in fact i find when i get thumbs down its because people dont like hearing the truth, and it amuses me how afraid of the truth people can be.
in the essence of opinions then it doesnt matter, i would rather get feedback from people both thumbsupping and thumbsdowning my opinions.
