.. perhaps you'd care to account for your belief in heaven and hell.

Folks, I've been on this forum a while. I don't need to be told that evolution is evidentially substantiated - I know better than you think.

It's the second part of the question I'm driving at.

Faith is something you cant proove its just a strong trust and belief in a higher power. So no as a Christian I can not proove heaven or hell exists.

To tell you the truth, the Bible is correct and evolution is wrong. Here are a few truths in the Bible.

The Great Flood (scientists did say that hundreds of years ago that the earth used to be completely covered in water

If evolution is true, then why can't humans not die from lead, and why can't humans fly? We keep on seeing it and people keep on dieing why can't be live forever on earth? Humans keep on dieing,

The Bible is taking place in the Middle East (Isreal) area Scientists did say that humans were first "made" (or whatever term you athiests use) in the Middle East

Why do so many people know that there is a God?

There are many more but I just thought that I would give you a few.

Well I've seen miracles and demons if that's what your asking.

But how is that question intellectually bankrupt? That's what all atheists ask. They say that all their 'evidence' is a lot more liable than the belief of some God, and that scientific evidence is logically smarter to rely on than hope. Which it is in most cases. But the problem is all your 'evidence' is either a lie or just a belief. It's never been seen so you can't just say it happened. So you can't claim it fact. Unless you have some other way of proving it. Which there isn't.
You can't prove beliefs.

I readily admit that my belief in Heaven, Hell and God is based on faith. However, I would like the evolutionists to admit that THEIR belief is ALSO based on faith. It takes a great deal of faith to believe that the dog and the cat had a common ancestor, despite evidence to the contrary. All we see is what the Bible has already stated - animals only bring forth after their "kind". We admit that there are 250 breeds of dog - but guess what! They're all DOGS! They will never be anything else. To go beyond that and believe that that proves that the dog and the cat had a common ancestor takes great faith and lacks scientific evidence. It becomes a religion at that point.

what ever anyone says you wont stop making people believe in a god. reality is that people are to scared to even look at the idea of evolution because it would mean no god no heaven. so what sounds better? the hard cold truth or the bitter sweet belief in life after death and a god?

if evolution were true, perhaps by now the present mammals that happened to be the last stage of the trend should have evolved to another kind of organism by now or at most or least go back to the begining of the evolutionary theory. so that we now have a new theory that can be called the evolution circle. ha ha ha ah......

Ooops, I'm Agnostic, but I just want to say that there ARE accounts of seeing evolution in action. For example, insects' resistance to pesticides. Also, bacterial resistance to antibiotics. We can actually observe the bacteria becoming more and more resistant as it multiplies. Just thought I'd share. ;-)

Edit: Well, Bad Liberal, I'm sure YOU are aware of this evidence but I'm sure you are also aware that there is a very large number of people who don't know or who will insist that it isn't true.

The real problem is that yes, people have seen it and even make it happen - e.g. agricultural engineering, bacteria resistant to anti-septics, etc.

This makes that heaven and hell thing all the more a moot point.

Not just is the argument wrong, but the fact of the matter is we have seen evolution.

Why do you suppose you need a new flu vaccine every year?

Common to who? Why do you speak of this as if it they are truly the same? Do you you believe that they're both wrong...or both right? I've never seen someone who has so much trouble getting his point...or question...or whatever, across. I've never seen it.
