i am in 7th grade and today after math, this 8th grader Shane came up to me and he's like this is from austin (another 8th grader) im like ok whatever. then i opened it and it was a note asking me out!! i dont even like him!! but i mean....i've never had a boyfriend b4 and i dont want 1 now! but its not like im gonna tell him that~ i'll sound like a therapist! but how do i tell him "no" without like hurting his feelings or sounding stupid?? i was thinking of writing a note back saying: hey, ur cool and stuff but i dont really like you that much. sorry, i hope u dont hate me now! cyaz, (my name) what do u think????do u have any other ideas?? NOTE: i am not gonna say yes so dont tell me 2! ok well thank you 2 all the ppl who are gonna answer!!

dont write the note back. and if you do dont do all that crazy spelling things. people dont like that anymore. i think you should jsut either tell that kid to his face..nicely of course..or since he cared 'so much' to do it though someone else. just tell shane you dont like him. so he can break the news to his friend. that must suck for the 8th grader though..being turned down by a 7th graderrr. haa.
i dont think the whole i dont want a boyfriend right now is that bad...you could jsut tell him that. hell probably just think you are actaully lying and jsut trying to be nice anyways.

hey ive had this happen to me ....like 10 times before...but not the note part...anyways...alrite you are on the right track...but seriously dont write a note back...talk in person...just be like ..."hey austin, um about that note that you gave me yesterday i no you are probably waiting for an answer and honestly i like you ...like i think your cool and everything but im only in grade seven and dont want to have a boyfriend right now, and i like you more as a friend...i hope that everything can be cool inbetween us and we can stay friends.." and then wht ever his responce is just be like alrite so we are friends...and stuff like that...be really nice to him about it...cause you never no wht he thinks of you....trust me life goes on and in high skool (im in grade 10/15yr's old) there is so many more chances to have a boyfriend....good luck!.... :)

politely take him aside away from other people and tell him that u don't feel u're ready to date yet, but maybe in a year or two, but for now u would love to b friends in the meantime -- who knows? in a year or two he might have a gurl or like someone else by then...or u'll end up liking him

i think the "i hope you dont hate me now" part is too much. just tell him face to face: "listen you seem like a nice guy but i dont really want a bf at the moment". its simpler, and very nice.
