People can be mean.
Just try to love them like Jesus asked us to do.

People really make fun of you? You must surround yourself with unprofessional or disrespectul people. For the most part, Mormons are very respected in the world and should be proud of that. Also, what really matters is that you are content with who you are. If what people say about you bothers you that bad you should look deeper into yourself. Because I know what I believe to be true (without question) what other people say can't affect me. It just blows on by. That being said, it can be tough at times to be a representative of Christ, especially in our world today. Look to Him and God for help and you will get it. Good luck.

It's something we all deal with, especially if you're outside of UT. You can do a couple of things, 1. nothing, 2. only be friends with other Church members, 3. understand that it's because they don't understand our beliefs, and are afraid to ask you that they're saying those things. You will learn, in time, who to ask - but try asking them if they want to know more or in some other non-threatening/non- "in your face" way show them what you stand for.

Stick to what you know to be right. You do what you do for YOU not for them. They may make fun of you, but eventually they'll respect you for sticking up for what you believe. Most of the prophets and apostles werent' very popular
Christ: Crucified
Nephi: beat up by his brothers (multiple times)
Moses: Ridiculed by potentially millions
Joseph Smith: Tarred, feathered, eventually murdured.
The list goes on.....
...You're in good company. Go read D&C 121 (when Joseph Smith is in Liberty Jail). It will make you feel better!

People like to mock or abuse those who are different than them. You have two choices: 1) Change into someone different for everyone you ever meet, or 2) Find out who you are, what you like, what you don't like, what you are passionate about and then like yourself.
I think wearing persecution as a badge of honor is kind of goofy because what we all really need is to just accept ourselves for who we are. These two are actually incompatible paradigms.

Unfortunately not alot ... they are making fun of you because they aren't educated on what you believe and why you follow your beliefs. Some people are just immature and ignorant and will always be that way. Develop a close group of friends to vent with. Peace :-)

You have to stand with your convictions. People make fun of what they don't understand. But - I will say that the young missionaries showing up at my door today are not helping your problem.

People will make fun of you for being anything. Just learn to let it roll off your back.

Think about Jesus. People hated him all his life, threw him out of their synagogues, his whole life until they killed him. Any pain that you have to go through for being a Christian (especially if people are telling you that you're not a Christian) will be rewarded one day.
