You may need to take her to a vet to get her a cone to wear. You could probably encorporate this with the visit you will need to make to get her, her shots.

First of all if you have then $ you should take her to a vet and get some cream. I would advise getting shots. Make sure you clean her ears gently because they probably have brown crud in them. Give her a nice warm bath (using some cat shampoo).
Its nice to hear that you have a good heart and took this kitten in!
Good luck!

maybe some apple biter spray if she is licking the sore places ! you can buy it at the pet store ! or if she is scratching at them then get her some anti itch medicine to spray on her neck , at the pet store too ! They have spray for flea bites, it sounds like that's what you need to get for her, because she is itchy there were they bite her ! Also a vet can tell you how much benadrly you can give her if she's not to young and they need to know how much she weighs to give the right dose amount! call a vets office and ask them about it .they can be more helpful with this! Tell them you found a stray and about her fleas problem and sores on the neck, they will tell you what you need to do !! Good luck !

Trim her nails and ask the veternarian for a salve to help heal the cuts. Bag balm is used for dairy cattle and would work well in this instance too because it is non toxic. Witchhazel would too but might sting the kitten. However, if infection is setting in, she will need an anti-biotic that has to be prescribed be the veternarian.

Honestly - the vets are just going to charge you a large sum of money and then give you some cream or drops to put on her.
The fastest way to heal scabs like that is to use aloe vera. It's not very expensive and you can use it preped or directly from the plant. A lot of health food stores sell it in a 95-99% pure form, don't get anything under this. If you use it from the plant, slice a leaf in half and spread the clear gel (not the yellow, otherwise kitty will have a good laxative) on her wounds. You can also get gel caps and pop one end open with a pin, and squeeze the aloe vera out. And if you have heart burn, acid reflux, ulcers, IBS etc. you can take them internally to help soothe and heal.
Aloe Vera:
Speeds healing on cuts and burns
Kills Bacteria
Kills minor to moderate pain from cuts, burns etc.
Tastes very, very nasty, which discourages licking etc.
Moniter the site. If it shows no improvement over within a week, or gets worse take her to a vet.
Also, a good way to get check to see if you got rid of all the fleas is to come her with a shedding comb. You will be able to see fleas, or their little waste products if she still has them.
If you would like to get her shots on a budget, you can check with your local pounds and humane societies. A lot of times they will have a low cost shot program and wellness check, along with spaying services. All of which is way below normal cost of a vet. The vets I've met at pounds have been very loving and like to have the opportunity to help save animals.
*edit*
Aloe Vera is not harmful to cats, dogs or humans. It is non-toxic and has been used for centuries. I've used aloe vera on my pets - both dogs and cats - for years, for flea bits, scabs, cuts, and surgery. All with the approval and astonishment of my vet. There are a lot of natural healing methods available to animals, and several good books out there written by experts. Aloe Vera is only one of many.

I would wash the cuts really good, then put neosporin on. If she won't stop scratching, wrap them with gauze you can get at any drug store. If that doesn't work, go to the pet store. Some carry cones and also ask if they have any suggestions. I would take the cat with you so you get the right size cone and the workers can look at her. Its cheaper than a vet! If they don't go away, vets work too. Be sure to get her spayed! If you get it done while she is young it is cheaper!

It might be a good idea to take this cat into the vet.... the reason I say that is because the scabs could be something like ringworm.... which would need to be handled appropriately.Just and idea. If you decide not to take the cat into the vet, at least call the vet and see if you can apply antibiotics cream on the sores/scratches. Good luck.

Your a very kind person. I give you a star. Take her to an ASPCA. I know it might be hard, but you might have to risk her being sent to another home for her survival. A vet could help to. I hope it will turn out alright.Oh, and Aloe Vera might be harmful to cats.

First wash the cuts with cotton balls soaked in hydrogen peroxide. Then loosely tie a handkerchief around kitt's neck to prevent further injury from the scratching. You may have to tie a fresh handkerchief every day becuase it eventually gets crunched up. Remember, just tie is loosely but not too loose that the cat can easily slip it over his head! Also, watch out that kitty does not get the handkerchief caught on a nail or something.

Give her a medicated bath with kitten shampoo, that will relieve the itch. You need to be careful what you put on her because whatever you use, she'll get in her mouth.
