Well. I will say that I have used "fake" tanners all my life and found out a few things.
1. You should never apply more than one coat, that is when you turn orange.
2. Do it before you go to bed.
3. Make sure the product is dry before getting dressed, wait about 15 minutes. I know it sounds long, but pulling on clothes is when streaks happen.
4. Exfoliate really well before you do it.
5. The spray worked the best for me, but to avoid the knees and elbows getting too dark put a little lotion them right before you spray.
6. It is not something that you will be perfect at the first time. But you will know how to do it better for the next time.
7. If it goes bad bleach will even out streaks, put a little on a q-tip or cotton ball and wipe the areas that are too dark until they match with the rest of your skin. Face wipes like Oxy or Stridex also work well for that.
8. If you are light skinned, don't buy self tanner for "dark results" buy the one for lighter skin, they are made different for a reason.
9. Self tanner is not for a "I live on the beach" tan. It is more for a little color that sets you apart from vampires and the corps bride.
10. If you are worried about it, find a salon that does the spray tan. I have had better results with that. There are two kinds, one is the mystic tan, where you go into a booth that sprays you, and the other is where a person sprays you. Both will leave you slimy until you can take a shower, to make sure it develops to its fullest, do it at night and take a shower in the morning..no it won't stain your sheets. :)
I hope this helps. Good luck with your tan adventures.

The spray on tans of today are much more natural looking than they were 5 years ago. Just be sure you spray it on evenly & don't miss any spots. Also be careful not to spray too heavily on your knees, elbows, knuckles & toes as the joints show the color more pronounced. Happy tanning!

i will say it rite now. DON'T DO IT! it will make ur skin look all orange and nasty. u should get a real tan. just go to the beach or something and lay there for a while. make sure that u put on sunscreen thought to try to prevent skin cancer and so your won't get a sunburn.

definite some are lighter than others. i'm in love with the Loreal chic bronze medium coloration. it may also be sprayed even as the can is the incorrect way up. WA hoo! in case you get gentle or med and are available to a call you want extra then you genuinely in basic terms upload yet another software. you've extra administration that way instead of probably going to darkish in a unmarried software.

The last time I did it, it made my skin all streaky.
If you want to do anything, go to a tanning bed. Tanning sprays are rediculous and a waste of money.

what brand? i have used sally hensen airbrush tan and i think it works well. the directions tell you to moisturise before you apply it and then spray it on and rub it in. i have never had streaky results from it BUT i have very pale skin and i just use it for a tiny bit of color.
