I have a small dog who started her heat two weeks ago, and would like to know the time period of when she is gonna stop. She's swollen twice the normal size, and she's bleeding all over our white carpet. Instead of getting lighter, it seems to be heavier and heavier each day! Can someone please tell me when this is gonna stop!?!

She may bleed for up to 3 weeks, I would call your vet and ask them just to make sure she is okay.

Heat lasts about three weeks and she will have one about every six months.
Get some doggie hot pants. You put them on the dog and stick a minni pad into them so the dog does not bleed all over the house.
They are made so you can wash them and they hook on with velcro. They work great.

heat cycle is 3 weeks.. if shes bleeding all over the carpet they have specially made diapers for female dogs.. invest in one.. they're not that expensive and they're washable.. and the third week will be the worst..

I had a Boston Terrier that bled bad for two weeks, then spotted everywhere for about two and a half more weeks. Get baby diapers and a SpotBot.

about 3 weeks total.
There are 'diapers' you can buy at pet stores that'll prevent her bleeding on your carpet. You have to take them off her when you let her out to go potty.

Heat can last up to 28 days. Spay your dog then no more messy heat to deal with.

21 days from the first drop of blood....get her spayed when she is done. If not, you are going to have this mess every 4-6 months.

I think that there are doggie pads like a diaper to put on her to help stop the discharge.
