Microsoft office access won't open. help!?

Question

I have the original cd -rom for microsoft office and everything else works but microsoft office acess.. how do i fix it?

When i open it the install box shows up and it loads 3 times. then the box closes and it doesn't open at alll or even install. how do i fix the error so that it opens and installs. i have already tried putting the cd in again and installing everything fresh but it didn't work so help please.

I'm assuming it's a recent Office like 2000, 2003, XP. I'll also assume that it was installed when you chose 'Standard' install. You don't mention what the error message is. Does it actually put an Access icon (a pink Key) next to the Word and Excel icons in the program list? If it does not, then Access was not installed for some reason and that CD may not have Access. It depens on the Office Suite you bought: Pro, Home, student, developer, etc.
