Only serious answers please. Early philosophers said we exist of our own free will, not because God rules our existence. The exact time when our breathing stops is a combination of several factors, ---many of which we do or can control, not at some pre-ordained time as some fatalist scholars believe. What do you think?

I think we are just here on this earth to live the life we choose, however short that may be. I think, let me say again I think we exist because the random fusion of an egg and cell. That is the only reason we are here. But it can all end if we choose or others choose it for us.

But no one really has free will. Everything is somehow predetermined, we all choose things based on previous choices.

EVERYTHING exists because God wills it - this is how its always been. God's intention/will is that which binds all of existence together; without the power of God's will all of existence would cease to be.

You can't decide to exist. You would have to exist already in order to do that. That would rule out the necessity of deciding to exist in the first place.

If what you said was true, then it should have been possible for some strong willed people to figure out how to live forever simply by willing it. Since no one has done this so far, I suppose that your statement cannot be true.

Are you also stating that we are born because we want to? Because we don't exist before being born. It's pretty impossible for a non-existing thing to will itself into existence

We're biological creatures who exist because our parents had sex and reproduced just like every other organism on the planet. I don't recall asking or chosing to be born.

If we had this kind of power then why are we not using it to make life perfect for ourselves? we exist because God created us and we die because we must pass through death to reach Heaven.

We are God's creation and it was his will that we were created. It's all about God. Everything is about God and what His will is and not ours. Praise the Lord!
