And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Muslims: Are Christians mistaken to say it was referring to the Holy Spirit?

Christians: Do you agree it was referring to Mohamned?

Do both of you have any proof to refute others claim?

The Comforter is probably not the holy spirit.
Muhammad (pbuh) was the last Prophet and the Qu'raan, which is Allah's final revealed word, is in its original, unchanged unaltered form and will be so till the Last Day.
And Allah knows best!

BTW, did you read the Gospel of Barnabas?

Mohammad is indeed the comforter of all true Muslims. A man who united his people in one nation under God, a man who instructed his followers to spread peace and Love throughout the world, a man who still stimulates his followers centuries after his death surely abides spiritually with those who believe in the truth.

It was talking about the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God - He talks with me, lives in me, teaches me, empowers me. He is forever because He is God. Where is Mohammad? I do not know him - I cannot talk to him - he is not around to guide me into all truth. What good are written teachings without a living teacher? He is dead, in a grave and his created soul is in eternity. The Comforter is a person - a person that we have a living relationship with, not a dead man that is long gone. The Holy Spirit is the living, eternal God, who is real and personal.

It cannot be Muhammed, because the "another comforter" is referred to by Jesus in the same passage as a "spirit" that is to live "within you". Muhammad was a physical person, not a spirit, and he cannot be living inside of Jesus' apostles before he was born. That interpretation makes no sense.

John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

How on earth could that be mohammed? He's dead, so he didn't abide with you forever. On the other hand it could easily be the holy spirit.

It certainly is BLASPHEMY to think that it refers to a Womanizing Child Molester- warlord.

Proof of Corruption!
The Q also states:

Not Jesus, but a look alike, was substituted and crucified at the Cross." -4:157
THIS Too IS BLASPHEMY - AND A LIE! No proof can be offered at all.

no mistakes about it been the holy spirit.
the bible also makes it very clear that any faith that does not profess christ , has the spirit of the anti-christ and hence it i not of God.
