get her one of the old Enid Blyton books - the faraway tree or the wishing chair or the naughtiest girl in the school. these are fantastic fantasy books for children, I must have read them 100 times each as a child and I think its a shame kids today have missed out on them!

I got a brilliant Book of fairy tales and nursery rhymes that had aload of stories in it.
Each night my daughter picks what she wants to hear and at the end we sing a song which she picks .
It has so much to choice from and she enjoy's hearing the songs of course now she knows her favourites and knows the words to the rhymes. It's called MyTreasury of Stories and Rhymes and I got it in Bargain books for about £5 but its over 200 pages.
There is so much choice out there but if you have a instore or poundstretchers near you they have really good childrens books for £1 and some are from the publisher Walker so they are good quality and good stories

This is a book that you can find on Amazon.

It is called simply "The Snowman"
It does not have any words in it, only beautiful drawings showing a relationship between a boy and a snow man that happens to come to life .
It really is a great book for a childs imagination.
