Go to the physician. Strep throat is serious stuff, I have seen many people who try to treat it themselves go to the emergency room, and actually had a close friend go into a coma for a few days from not treating it! It is very dangerous, and worth spending the money to go to the doctor.

Antibiotics, Tylenol, motrin, salt water gargles, and if it still presits it might be mono.

Antibiotics -- penicillin is pretty standard.
