Ramadan is the month of fasting, muslims fast during this month to signify several points. After the whole month of fasting, it's Eid-ul-fitr. That's the festival - the muslim new year.

we Muslims do not celebrate Ramadan but welcomes it. it is a month of giving and sacrificing. it is a month for us Muslims to remind ourselves of the greatness of Allah and his creations. we are to share our wealth amongst the poorer Muslims, to give and to help.

ramadan is one of the moon month they have, they believe that quran has giving to their prophet in this month. and as they believe their god ask them to fast in this month and after that they have a feast.
