In order to add the graphics and animations you need to learn how to use PowerPoint.

As far as burning to a CD or DVD, when the presentation is complete, select File > Package for CD and follow the instructions.

This will only be viewable on a computer, however. You need more advanced software to make .mpg or .wma to play on DVD player.

You don't. PowerPoint is not designed to be a video presentation program.

You didn't say what your presentation was, but chances are its a photo slideshow - right? If so, then just go get the free Nreo Photoshow Deluxe and create your slideshow there and burn to DVD.

you can do all the titles, transitions, fades, effects you want with Nero. The full version is better, but the free version does a nice job just as well.

when you finish with your project close the page, and it will automatically ask you "do you want to save this project?"click YES,and choose a location.you wont be able to burn it to dvd,but you can copy it to dvd.your dad must have the same program(PowerPoint) on his computer order to read the dvd.and he will also need dvd software.
