I'm a native Arabic speaker. Arabic is a beautiful language, but it's difficult to learn, especially spelling and grammar. If you're ready to devote some good time for it it will take you at least half a year or so to start being good at spelling ,understanding & writing words & sentences, because many letters don't exist in the English language, and need some skill to handle them. For the grammar, it needs some times as well, since it very much branched (And difficult compared to English). But if you're determined, then nothing will stop in your way. If you need any help in learning this beautiful language, just contact me:

The elaborate factor with Arabic is that there now not one and best arabic language, besides the traditional arabic used within the Coran, and the ordinary arabic. Every Arabic speakme nation has its possess "dialect", which they use of their nation. Then there's what they name "ordinary arabic", that's used within the media. So after four years of research in institution, you'll most commonly now not discover those four years of research very priceless if you happen to attempt to talk with any person in a souk in any arabic nation... It's what occurred to me. I dutifully took three years of arabic in Switzerland earlier than relocating to Tunisia, and no one understood me whilst I spoke what I had spent three years finding out, and would best use French. So I now separate Tunisian Arabic from Standard Arabic, practically as 2 special languages, and am now practically fluent in Tunisian Arabic, and nonetheless finding out Standard Arabic. So earlier than you make investments plenty of time and turn out to be annoyed, I might advocate you to invite your self why you wish to be taught it. Good good fortune !

My honest opinion is that it will take you a long time to be fluent in writing and speaking.
Alot of pronounciations are hard for the western tongue. You can do it.
