I aleready know that history is required but what other subjects would benefit me in a career in law? I want to know as i am soon choosing my subjects to study for GCSE.

You need to know how to read and write so English is always useful. From legal briefs if you are an attorney, to affidavits and case reports if you are an agent/cop. Philosophy is actually pretty useful as well just to open up your mind a little and get you outside the box. Secondary languages are useful and some political knowledge won't hurt, and Speech and Debate classes help with overcoming social and public speaking awkwardness, but for the most part there are no standard core classes required to enter law school, I knew a few English majors and a lot of Philosophy majors who went. Study the Constitution and the ammendments.
