I have a wireless microphone system (the box and 1 mic). How do I go about adding an additional wireless mic to the system? Do I have to get a mic from the same company/product line? Can I get any wireless mic separate and somehow connect it to the same frequency so that it will run off of the current system?

You can run more than 1 mic, but all the mics need their own frequency so each mic will need it's own box or receiver. If you tried to get 2 mics on the same frequency they would interfere with each other and cause major problems. You will also need an input for each mic. If your equipment only has one, then you will need a mic mixer.

Assuming your receiver has an additional input ,,,you can puchase any wireless unit and plug it in. I work at a church and our system has inputs for 3 wireless units.
