No. Carafate is for stomach ulcers.

If you know someone who is coming off opiates, they need to talk to a doctor. There are medications to help the withdrawal. Clonodine is a blood pressure medication that will REALLY help the symptoms of anxiety, nervousness and the twitching in the arms and legs.

Physical pain caused by muscles can be eased by things like eating bananas or swigging molasses (possible side effect if there is too much called the runs).
Things that help cleanse the body out like water, turmeric, grapefruit seed oil and others may not help until any other medical care has run its course - always check with the physician to make sure there will not be a bad interaction.
