I really enjoy cooking and baking. I like to experiment with recipes and invent my own just for the creative enjoyment I get. My mom and grandmother were great cooks, and they taught me to try new things and enjoy what I'm doing. It's a necessary part of my existence, so why not make it interesting and fun?

Cleaning up the mess afterwards is a different story, however. I've got a self-cleaning oven. . .now what I need is a self-cleaning kitchen to go with it!

I really enjoy cooking and baking.
After spending most of the day at the office, dealing with everyday stress of chasing the almighty dollar, it relaxes me and gives me the sense, that I still maintain my primal feminine role of the care-giver.
I like it when I serve freshly cooked dinner and my family asks for seconds. They prefer my cooking to dining out - they get their meals made to order, as I can cook pretty much any native cuisine.
So that covers cooking - it's fun and fulfilling.
Now on baking - that is where my true passion is. It is more about creating the ultimate delicacy, the dish always asked for. This is where my creativity and emotion comes out.
There is another side to it as well, though.
Being a woman living in Los Angeles, I am a constant dieter.
By indulging in the pleasure of cooking, my senses get satisfied by the process of preparing the food, so I end up eating less. It also gives me the knowledge and understanding of how textures and flavors work together, so I can make healthier meals for my loved ones.

1. I love to eat and trying different things
2. It's fun and a creative thing to do... I can't draw or paint or write.
3. It makes people happy.
I cooked an engagement dinner for my roommate, fiance and their families so that the future in-laws could meet and greet. This also relieved a lot of anxiety for my roommate who was worried about having to cook dinner and entertain at the same time. Being in college they were on a budget so dining out was not an option.... plus it would have been stressful for them to really talk in public.
4. It's sort of an ego boost to receive complements on my cooking.
5. I like to bake breads... There's something about kneading that is stress relieving. lol

I love to cook because you can be so creative in the kitchen. When I was growing up at home, I use to watch my Mom bake and cook all kinds of stuff. She baked banana bread, cornbread, blueberry muffins, cakes, and pies. She use to make all sorts of good food. Grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup, stuffed turkey rolls, Shrimp Scampi, poached fish, mashed potatoes, potatoe salad, and Guacamole. She inspired me to cook because I admired her cooking and I knew that some day I would have to cook for myself. When I still lived with my parents I would cook a big dinner for them occasionally. One time I made poached sea bass with julinned vegetables and rice almondine. Baking at home was fun also. I use to always bake. I would bake different types of bread, cookies, and pies. Cookies were my favorite thing to bake. They were so fun to share.

I have loved cooking since I was young, and when people eat what you just made,it feels great. Plus it occupies the mind, hands etc. Making new dishes to share is fun also, or trying old ones too..............If you cook, you get to taste!

In our family we always say, "A gift of food is a gift of love." We all love to eat and all of us are good cooks as well. Besides, we like to know what goes into the food we're eating.

I do. My favorite is to make what I can out of what I have without a recipe. Sometimes it comes out really good and others it's not so good but I love doing it anyway.
