I think it is best when you cut it into fries and deep fried and have a Cinnamon maple syrup for dipping them into. I attached the recipe.

Baked Sweet Potato Fries with Pecan Syrup.
I use maple-flavored pancake syrup, add coarsely chopped pecans, (say 1 potato, 2 tablespoons syrup and 1/2 tablespoon chopped pecans per person) and warm, do not simmer unless you want thicker syrup, or simmer more for even thicker syrup to the type on candied sweet potatoes. (I prefer mine thinner and not candied.)
Wash, dry and slice sweet potatoes into shoestring french fry sized strips. Toss the strips with just enough olive oil to coat, place in a single layer on baking sheet, and bake 10-12 minutes in 425F preheated oven, then turn and bake 10-12 minutes more. Strips should be brown on outside and soft inside. Drain on paper towels, salt VERY lightly. Place individual servings in warmed small shallow bowls or ramekins and drizzle syrup and pecans over them.
I also serve the chicken and fries with biscuits, coleslaw and applesauce. (Yeah, I know, the sides sound like KFC, but it just matches the fried chicken, I think.)

Brown sugar, butter, cinnamon. If the potato isnt very sweet, maybe even some white sugar as well. Thats how I like mine ALL the time- no matter what I'm having it with!

I usually send it flower's first and then take it to a movie. I mean it's a sweet potato...you can't rush into anything with it, like you can with a biscuit.

i just put a little salt and some butter on it. it's much better for you if you don't do all of the sugar and stuff and you HAVE to eat the skins to get the majority of the nutrients!!
