Is left over scholarship money yours to keep?

yup, provided you've taken the class, course etc and kept up the GPA that they required. if your all done, its yours. if you still have more schooling to go, i would hold on to it.

you could also use it for school purposes(housing, laptop, etc). just dont go around saying so.

My son is in the exact same situation you described! (U of M, won a ton of scholarships) I was told by the financial aid office at U of M that he will be getting a refund check in the mail. They take away any loans first though and may reduce the grants that were awarded from the university. Congrats on winning so many scholarships!!! :)

scholarship means to give, so I would think so, however if you are unsure call the sponser and ask them if you have to return the money or can you use if for your needs. Take care Heather

I don't know if its yours or not. The moral thing to do with it though is to give it back. It was a "gift" you earned but the giver is also helping many others. Give it back so they can help someone else, you got your turn and this is a way of saying Thanks.
