Very small initials carefully embossed in a top-quality leather handbag: reasonably classy.
Anything else: reasonably tacky.
'Top-quality' = it should not have somebody else's name or initials on it. It should be a good bag, not a good designer.

If you get it on there and make the bag either pink or brown and have the other color like say you chose pink then have a brown lace tied to it and make it have pink spots. Or the other way. or make the whole bag pink and brown

I think it can be classy if it's done well. Don't do anything too large or gaudy. Keep it simple and pretty and I think you'll like it.

I think monograms are a classic, but usually for less formal bags. They are usually seen on more casual (LL Bean) styles, from my experience, but I think it's a nice look.

it depends on what you intials are my grandma did it for one of her friends and her name was Arlene Susan Smith. I swear true story and she didnt even think about it till after so had it made.
