Because carrots contain more of the substance carotene than oranges. Carotene is an orange photosynthetic pigment important for photosynthesis. It is responsible for the orange colour of the carrot and many other fruits and vegetables. It contributes to photosynthesis by transmitting the light energy it absorbs to chlorophyll.

Becuase they way that it is grown carrots are under ground with no sunlight with more color.Oranges are is the sunlight with less color.

carots have carotine which is very orange sometimes reddish orange. While oranges have .... I dunno
