i can get to sleep withing 15-60 minutes (at 10:00 or 10:30) but around 5:00 am, i wake up and can't really get back to sleep. You know the type when your lying there thinking of stuff and your half awake/half asleep. I think it has to do with stress, anxiety and worrying so how can i learn not to sweat the little stuff and sleep better?

In feng Shei they link trouble with sleeping to clutter under your bed. Try cleaning up or maybe taking a hot bath or drinking something warm before you go to sleep. Or write all your thoughts down on paper and maybe it will help get them out of your head (works for me sometimes) Good luck!

Ever heard of a biological clock? Your body wants to be awake at 5:00 a.m. and you prefer to sleep. Try getting up and moving and then scheduling a short nap in the afternoon if you become too tired. Otherwise, you can practice relaxation techniques that will shut your brain off for a while so you can sleep later. Why sleep your life away? Also, if you can't control it, it isn't worth worrying about. Worry doesn't solve any problem, only action does. Everyone gets anxious when they are doing something or about to do something that feels foreign or risky to them. Stress is a growth process. Without it, you'd be dead and still it takes stress to push up daisies -- it's called break through. You can't have strong muscles if you don't put them under some stress occasionally. So just view stress as your friend. It helps you knock down walls, find answers, and get things done. Get up, Get moving, Get it done.

This can also be a type of sleep disorder. A colleage of mine had the same type of problem, she would conk out around 10 pm, wake up at some point, and not be able to go back to sleep. She saw some type of specialized doctor for this and also took a prescription for a few months. It seems to have worked for her for the most part. Here's an interesting link I found to help: http://www.sleepfoundation.org/
