I like you.
Mad as a box of frogs.

Take pity on me; I must defend myself from the dog. The dog doesn't tell you what he does to ME when you aren't looking. The dog is just trying to get me into trouble so you WILL lock me out and he can have you all to himself. I LOVE YOU as much as the dog does, if not more.
Your friend,
THE CAT
psssstt: The mouse was a gift. To bring you good luck. It ain't like I can go to the store and walk in and buy you a suitable gift. it's the best I could do. I brought it as a gift from the HEART. When is the last time the grungy old dog brought you ANY kind of gift. (fleas don't count)
The clawing, scratching, etc. is just my way of saying I'm wild about you.

Well, as a cat, it's not uncommon for cats to get a little ruff when playing or even when they get annoyed form being played with too much. Perhaps next time, just walk away BEFORE the claws come out when you get played with too much rather than getting ruff yourself! As to the mouse, mice are seen as vermin and as disease carriers. this is why people don't really like it when a cat brings them a mouse or ten! They REALLY hate rats too!!! Next time you get a mouse, I would eat it or maybe even just leave it outside for another animal to eat if you don't want it!

I would agree with all the above apart from the mouse!!!
And if I was allowed to do all that I really wouldn't mind being locked out!!!
As long as I had my ball of wool Meeeoooow

It all sounds lovely.
And it all depends on how long you were left outside.
