I am not exactly sure if this is natural but proactiv really works well when you are in need of some de-acneing. lol You go through 3 easy steps every morning and night and if face clears up in no time. You get the facial scrub that you use when you wash your face, and then this green stuff you put on after you do that, and then a renewing cleanser that gets rid of the pimples. Try it, I am sure you won't regret it! You can buy it off of the comercials on TV.

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.
In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.
Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.
In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.
If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

I have been using it since November and it's absolutely wonderful! I have very acne-prone skin. This will really improve the appearance of your skin. It's definitely worth investing in because it clears your skin up beautifully. I would buy the try out package to just try it. You'll have enough for about a month.

Clear.now (pronounced clear - dot - now)
It’s a 3-step acne treatment system utilizing patent-pending sodium chlorite combined with salicylic acid to keep pores clean, clear, and cared for.
I've been using it for about a year....after a couple of weeks I started to notice a dramatic difference. It even got rid of the dark marks that came up on my nose from wearing glasses for 6 years!
It's been a long time since I've had any serious breakouts...and when I do, usually around a woman’s monthly nature calling...lol....I use an Artistry Acne Blemish Spot Treatment, the blemish reduces overnight!

I just went to the doctor yesterday and asked the same question. Her reply: STOP DRINKING SODA! I've used pills, medical creams and ointments, over the counter crap, etc. and of course, nothing has worked for me. I was even thinking of trying ProActive Solution you see on TV. But anyways, the doc said if I lay off the soda completely, my skin will start to improve. I used to have acne extremely bad but now it went down a lot. My only problem area is around my mouth. One other thing I do to keep my skin dry (I have oily skin): I go tanning a few times a week. This dries out my pores and has cleared up about 95% of my skin. And the benefit...you look great! The only bad thing is it greatly increases chances of skin cancer, and it's a pretty expensive treatment for acne. It's a win or loose situation, I guess. But that's what works the best for me so far. Now I will try to lay off the soda and see how much that helps. Hope this was some what useful. Good Luck!

Natural treatments don't really work. Acne is caused by a bacteria called P. Acnes and in order to control your acne you need to kill the bacteria. Products that work best contain benzoyl peroxide. Proactive really does work and they have a lot of information on their website www.proactiv.com.
I suffered from acne for 10 years and tried every remedy both natural and not. Nothing worked until I stumbled across proactive. Best thing I ever did. You have to give at least a month but it does work.

Proactive doesn't work. Try Celladerm Acne Treatment Solution.
It has salicylic acid, which is known for fighting acne.

i guess proactiv but dont use it if your allergic to benyzol peroxide...you should do some more research...cause that happened to me. but the best thing to do is consult a family docter (CHEAAP!) but a dermatoligist is better..i have the same problem but the best thing is benyzol peroxide, but im allergic to it..so yeah. but it really drys out your skin and read the percentages of the ingredient, the highest is 10% in clearsil and other products. for mild acne use 2% or 5%
