Erm.......no. The weight of your hair is what makes it grow faster. Brushing it every day also helps growth.

Hello!! And no Not really.
Ok So I'm a hairstylist and heres the answer.
when your hair grows down the older portion of your hair (longest point) becomes weak from hairstyling, color, and daily stress, sun, wind, heat etc. If you trim 1\4 of an inch every 4 weeks you are cutting off the ends of the hair that are split or getting ready to. that makes your hair grow at an even rate. People who get their hair cut every 6 mos or year cut off 4 times the amount just to get rid of the damage. So by maintaining your hair.. essentially you help it to grow faster by not removing as much as would by only cutting it sporadically. Hope this helps.

Hair seems to grow faster during warm weather and by regular trims every 6-8 weeks.

No, but it keeps it healthy. Split ends make hair look frizzy and unkempt. Hair growth is genetic, but on average about a 1/2" a month. But it looks better if healthy. If you don't have split ends, it's quite ok not to cut it at all.

Yes. It keeps the ends healthy and not split and so it grows faster. If you keep split ends, the hair shaft will split upwards and cause lots of frizz.

No, it just gets rid of split ends and makes the hair look healthier.

no it does not make it grow faster, it simply removes the dead hair/split ends allowing your hair to grow easier as if you kept it your hair may grow but not properly and to more split ends............so i guess it sorta helps it grow faster
