First off, is it Legal to burn a copy for personal use as a back up or whatever? Cause some of my dvds are getting bad, mostly cause I let people borrow them, a couple cause of me.

So heres what I wanted to do. I want to make a copy, as in, all the menus and everything. I don't want an AVI file that I watch on my computer, for this part. I want the exact files from the DVD on another so i can watch it in dvd players.

I already have DVD decrypter. I have already taken the files off the DVD, so how do i put them on a blank one?

Also, I would like a copy for my computer thats smaller, like 700mb or whatever. I cant remember, is it DVD Shrink that I want? Or is there a different one thats free, or is Shrink free?

yes... after u rip it with dvd decrypter shrink it to fit on a 4.7g blank with dvd shrink ... burn the audio_ts and video_ts folders that shrink puts out, as data and close the disk .... if u want a smaller file for computer use like 700mb use autogk ... it wont save the menus though just the movie ... if u want to make a really small dvd with all the menus for computer only u can get them down to about 2gigs with ratdvd but thats really not the way to do it ... autogk and a 700mb avi is the ryt way to save for computer use ...

I would suggest you to give "DVD Region+CSS Free" a try.
After installing it you will be able to make a 1:1 copy(except for the protection) with any DVD copying software(for example Alcohol 120%,Nero, whatever...)
