my sister borrowed a friends digital camera for a trip n it was dropped and broken. when my sister got back she offered for the camera to be fixed. My sisters friend refused and said she wanted 350 bucks for it (which was what she bought it for 3 yrs ago) cause she didnt want a bung camea (also mentioned she needed a video camera mind you ) . Its only a 3mp camera so now they are worth like 150.my sister refused as the problem was minor ( the batteries werent being recognised and ext damage was really minimal) n went to the camera shop, payed $130 and had it fixed. She returned the camera in working order and gave her the reciept she show that it was done. If she had any probs she was told she had a week warranty to see to it. The camera faulted the next day, my sisters friend refused to go and get it fixed and now still wants $ 300 bux for the thing! should she pay or did she dothe right thing. this girl did say she didnt want the camera and wanted a cam corder.. sounds suss to me.

Your sister did what was right. However when the camera broke again the next day your sister should have picked it up and taken it back for the other repairs needed. As for what she paid for it. A court would say she is do what the camera is worth after 3 years ware not the new value three years ago. We all know that yesterday technology is half the cost several years down the line. I hope your sister kept a copy of the receipt for the camera repairs. If she wants to get rid of the girl then go buy a replacement camera the is then exact one she borrowed. It is most likely less money then what she paid 3 years ago and she will be done with her. If your sister does choose to replace the camera with the exact camera broken, then she should get custody of the damaged one in return.
Never borrow electronics, it is sure to brake while in your hands instead of the owners.

Your sister was wrong for borrowing the camera.

She did the right thing by having it fixed (although, I think that I would have bought a new one since you could probably get a better one for about the same as she paid to get it repaired).

I don't think that she had any responsibility to bring it back to the repair shop after she had it fixed the first time.

The real question is: how much is her friend worth to her? I have no doubt that she is in the process of losing a friend.

Sounds like your sister did the right thing and the friend was just trying to use her. I wouldn't do anymore with the camera, she had a week to have it looked at again and fixed. I am not sure if this camera quit working or if she just wanted the money.

Your sister did the right thing by repairing it and by all means if it is still playing up and its under warranty then if the other girl is stupid enough not to get it fixed while still under warranty then thats her problem your sister has done all that she needed to do.

I think your sister did the right thing. Unfortunately, it sounds like her "friend" is looking to get an upgrade. Maybe your sister can show her how much her camera is worth on ebay..lol.

yeah i imagine he ought to pay for it if he became the single which smash it. or at lest 1/2 then. yet he shouldn't get mad because he became the single which did. if he odn't have the money for it really is going to inform u i do not have funds to get u a clean one in the present day. That what that's thats different reason behind him to do what he did. so he do not ought to get u the hot digicam. and it appear like he do not care if he damage ur feeling lengthy the way and lose different pal both.
