I'm currently involved with a man I truly love. We have both wronged each other in the past. We have apologized and decided to develop our relationship together. However, I still find it hard to trust. I know it's hard because I don't want to be hurt. I just don't know what to do. I know it takes time, but is there anything I can do to build trust sooner?

Not really. It will come when you are not afraid of getting hurt again and not until. He must re-build (earn) your trust back.
Just out of curiousity, why do YOU find it so hard to forgive him and trust him when he has forgiven and trusts you again? Don't you believe him or believe he deserves the same courtesy?
if he hasn't either, i would suggest you both move on as it MAY never work if therre is no trust between you two.
