You could be pregnant, the tests are not 100 percent accurate and there is room for user error. How late are you? What kind of birth control are you using? For me, my birth control pills make me really irregular so I'm never sure when I'm "late" or "on time" or "earlier" because of the pill. I hate the uncertainty of waiting for a late period!!! But take comfort, for now, in the negative result, and hope that it stays negative! Unless you want to be preggers, in which case, go to the doc and have a blood test run to find out!

It can mean a lot of things. If you are pregnant it may be way too early for you to have produce enough hcg (preg.hormone) for the test to detect. Usually you are sure to get a positive reading a week or two after your expected period. The other thing is you could be late because you are stressed, exercising more, or change in diet. So many factors could be the cause of your period being late. Also if you are still young (teen-early twenties) your body is still regulating itself.

There is a possibility that you could still be pregnant. Other reasons for a missed period are stress, excessive weight loss or gain, and over exercising. I'd go to a doctor for a blood test to be on the safe side. If you are not producing enough of the pregnancy hormone, you could be getting ready to miscarry.

It is possible but highly unlikely, pg tests tend to be about 96 to 99% accurate. You might just skip a period. This can be brought on by stress/anxiety. Try a different type of pg tests to be sure though.

It is possible to still be pregnant and have a Negative home pregnancy test. If after 5 days from your cycle due date you still do not have your cycle make an appt with your gyn. Blood test and ultrasound WILL give you a true answer.
A friend of mine even at 6 months pregnant showed her doctor that her HCG level did not read on a hpt!

If you were trying best wishes!

possibly, sometimes the test just dont pick up your HCG levels, especially since its kinda early. Go to your doctor and have him to a formal test. Periods can also be late for many other reasons, stress, extreme weight loss or gain, change in environment........so you may not be pregnant

Yes, it just might have been too early. Wait a few more days and test again, or go the the doctor's and ask for a blood test.

yup, you can. Depends on when your period is due. I didn't get a positive pg test until the day before my period was due. so yes you can still be preggers....good luck
