when you read reviews ,lots of buyers complain of the fan noise.
I can't decide which to buy.

I bought my good lady a Sagem PVR 6200T for christmas and apart from a few little hard drive type noises its silent - if there is a fan it either runs with no noise or doesn't work! With a TV playing you really cant hear it at all.

lots of equipment has inbuilt fans now. in a silent room yes you can hear them slightly, but once the tv is on you dont.

I did, and its only noisy if you are listening for it, for example i did not hear mine that was on beside me, however when you mention it i do now! lol

it's only a quiet noise you will only hear it if you listening for it.
