When I was in university, I had a boyfriend for many years and in all this time, only once, had he given me a present, whether birthday, Xmas, whatever. Needless, to say, he married someone else. Why do women give themselves less, in relationships? Do you find this pleasant, to constantly be yelled at? Of course not! You see, after years of experience, I finally figured out, the signs are all there about who that person is, in your relationship, if you'll realize it! It's not going to get any better with your boyfriend! He has personal problems and they come out in the way he treats others, including you. Anyone's actions on the outside towards others, always reflect what they fell inside about themselves. So, I'd estimate he has personal issues bothering him that he needs to work out. You best let him get on with his personal development because you are wasting your precious time in life while he gets his act together! No one can do it for anyone else! We must all face our own personal demons. But don't sit there as his target practice! If we don't have self-respect, neither will we respect others! I wasted a lot of time with Boyfriend #1 who married someone else anyways,(actually I'm very lucky as I found another way better)! Women have got to stop thinking they can "fix" a boyfriend, and then they'll both be happy. It ain't gonna happen girlfriend! The depth of another human being is not up to anyone other than that person himself. What you don't like, and can't seem to change within reason, then it's time to realize, the situation's a no-go, and it's time to move on and find someone else who is more in tune with who you are! Unless you fully enjoy yelling all the time yourself, then there's no point to continue as you are! Really, your time in your life is important. I wasted far too much time on Guy#1. After awhile, time runs faster and faster as you get older, so don't think you have forever to spend at a dead-end! Don't try to ignore the faults of another. They are who they are and you will waste your life waiting for their development for the better. The signs are always there! Please see them now!

NO!!! That is completely disrespectful and nobody should ever put up with that! Why dont you yell at him once, let him see what it's like. Then tell him you are to good to be with a person like him and never talk to him again!

No, in fact, is someone yells at me for no reason, a flag is raised. His yelling at you shows he either has control issues or is disrespectful. It doesn't really matter what else he says, if he yells at you for no reason, then he is not right for you. Be safe and loved, Lisa, not manipulated by his yelling.

Lisa..don't get mad honey but if he yells ALL THE TIME you need to cut him loose. If he has anger issues then as his GF/partner/wife you will be victim #1. People who yell alot are risks for violent behavior. The budda sez you are a special person and you deserve love. Don't tie yourself to someone that makes themself feel better by making you feel bad

Nope...because I won't tolerate that. If my boyfriend were to yell at my constantly, he'd quickly find himself with a new label - ex-boyfriend.

That's called verbal abuse...and it can turn into physical abuse over time. Get out of the relationship immediately.
